It took 10 years for David Bowie to release his new album, The Next Day. Now, just seven months later, the legendary musician has announced plans for an expanded release of the album, due out November 5th.
Dubbed the Collectors Edition, the three-disc set will tack on five previously unreleased songs and two brand new remixes, including a 10-minute reworking of “Love is Lost” by LCD Soundsystem mastermind James Murphy. (The two previously collaborated together on Arcade Fire’s recent single “Reflektor”.) The Collectors Edition also includes a DVD featuring the four music videos released in support of The Next Day.
Bowie will also bundle all the new material in a seven-track digital EP.
