On their latest single, “Take a Dip”, rising Toronto-based outfit Weaves spin a mean web of spellbinding and serrated, heavy ’90s-leaning rock. From the drums’ full-on crash and burn destruction to the slicing, manic guitar lines to frontwoman Jasmyn Burkes’ wily, tense Karen O-esque vocals, the track seethes a thick and fiery tenacity from start to finish. It’s unstoppable and addictive in the best of ways. Listen below.
“Take a Dip” is out now via Canadian label Buzz Records. For more of the band’s raucous, visit their Bandcamp page.
