“Every time I eat cereal, I have to have the picture of Phil Collins there for inspiration,” Action Bronson advises in the kickoff episode of his new web series, Vice Eats. Those who’ve grown tired of Anthony Bourdain and, instead, crave the scopious palette of the Queens MC will no doubt want to tune in.
As the show’s official site insists, “we’ll travel the world with Action and his motley crew of associates to check out the finest dives and dimes of the restaurant scene. From halal stands to Michelin star restaurants, Action and his rotating cast of dinner companions will dine in a wide range of remarkable spots to give us their honest opinions—both on and off the plate.”
The first episode’s more or less an introduction to Bronson, who regales us with tales of his habitual diets (“I don’t fuck with shrimp”) and his haircuts (“Yo, gimme the Macklemore.”). He does, however, hit up New York City’s two-Michelin-star seafood restaurant, Marea, where he dines on a six-course meal courtesy of chef Michael White.
Sigh, it’s a dog eat dog world out there and Bronson’s taking it one bite at a time. Start chomping below.
In related news, Bronson and super producer The Alchemist teamed up for a new track entitled “Diagnosis”, which coincides with designer Dr. Romanelli’s new Coca-Cola inspired clothing line. Check it out here.
