His interest in fashion and desire to create more than just music have been frequent talking points for Kanye West, as he hits one radio station after another in support of his Yeezus world tour. But perhaps most interesting were the comments he made to Los Angeles’ 97.1 AMP just this morning. Asked about a sequel to Watch the Throne, Kanye said that it’s a “possibility,” but added, “It’s not my focus. In all honesty, music is not my focus.”
Instead, Kanye said that he’s focused on getting backing from a major company like Nike or Adidas so that he can receive “proper royalties” and “make awesome product.” Kanye pointed to his Yeezy shoe line as an idea he’d like to expand on.
“In the midst of it, I’ll still make music,” Kanye added. “I’m not going to stop producing, but I need to create more.”

ICYMi, Kanye also appeared on Los Angeles radio station Power 106 today, where he discussed unreleased Yeezus material, his upcoming wedding, and even freestyled. Listen to that here.
