CoSigned UK outfit London Grammar released their debut album, If You Wait, not too long ago, chock-full of singles like “Hey Now”, “Strong”, and their Disclosure collaboration, “Help Me Lose My Mind”. Also on that LP is an eerie, vocally-impressive cover of Kavinsky’s “Nightcall”, off the famed Drive soundtrack. The trio’s rendition will be issued as a standalone single on December 8th, but in the interim, they’ve tapped Hot Chip’s own Joe Goddard to give it the remix treatment.

No stranger to reworks — he’s worked with the Dirty Projectors, Disclosure, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, to name a few — Goddard tackles “Nightcall” from the get-go, throwing in head-spinning percussion and slithery synths, giving it a newfound sense of urgency and fright.
