Seems like the Russian police are less concerned about the whereabouts of Pussy Riot’s Nadya Tolokonnikova than creating their own cover version of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”. Here, this group of Ministry of Internal Affairs troops — an actual music ensemble — pull off a pretty decent rendition done entirely in English. That’s not all, either: their accompanying music video is all professional Hollywood gloss, full of flashy lights, smoke machines, and even some fancy editing tricks. Uhh, police training must be real, real tough over there, comrades. I mean, not everyone’s just born with a knack for hamming it up for the camera, ya know. Watch the video below (via Laughing Squid).

Keep in mind, this not a spoof. It’s 100% genuine. Our Russian web developer Rinat even fact checked it for us!
