Last night, Grammy-nominated UK duo Disclosure tipped off a three-night sold out residency at New York’s Terminal 5. Working off their debut — last year’s critical smash Settle — brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence tossed out their unique brand of deep house to the sweaty North Easterners, whose feet hardly touched the ground. Fellow Brit Sam Smith, aka 2014 BRIT Critics’ Choice Award and BBC Sound of 2014 winner, even came out for “Latch”. Hours later, the two brothers followed up the performance with an early morning DJ set at the somewhat nearby Webster Hall, playing to hundreds of wasted NYU students and proper Anglophiles. Needless to say, their visit in America’s been pretty, pretty, pretty good. So far.
Photographer Robert Altman squeezed into Terminal 5 last night to capture the energy.
