Bonnaroo reveals 2014 lineup: Kanye West, Jack White, Elton John to headline

on February 19, 2014, 9:45pm

Bonnaroo has revealed its full lineup for 2014, and it sure looks like they’re an early favorite to repeat as Festival of the Year.

Kanye West, Jack White, and Elton John will headline this year’s installment, set for June 12th – 15th in Manchester, TN. Other notable acts include Vampire Weekend, Frank Ocean, Arctic Monkeys, Phoenix, Lionel Richie, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Damon Albarn, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Skrillex, who will be hosting his own Superjam.

Of course, the big story here is the return of Kanye West. He’ll appear at Bonnaroo for the first time since his controversial performance in 2008, during which he took the stage at 4:30am, nearly 10 hours after his previous announced performance time. At the time, Kanye blamed production issues due to Pearl Jam performing an hour beyond their scheduled time, yet he still became public enemy No. 1 for many festival attendees. Kanye will look to redeem himself with his first festival performance in support of his latest opus, Yeezus.

As for Jack White, his Third Man Record HQ is located less than an hour from the festival grounds. He has a storied history with the festival, having previously headlined in 2007 with The White Stripes. His most recent appearance came in 2010 with The Dead Weather.

Also set to appear are The Flaming Lips, The Avett Brothers, Lauryn Hill, James Blake, Disclosure, Chromeo, Janelle Monáe, Cut Copy, Broken Bells, CHVRCHES, Andrew Bird, Mastodon, Chance the Rapper, Dr. Dog, Phosphorescent, Warpaint, Sam Smith, Danny Brown, Pusha T, Cloud Nothings, Darkside, Poliça, Ty Segall, Okkervil River, Little Dragon, Real Estate, Cass McCombs, Deafheaven, First Aid Kit, Goat, Drive-By Truckers, Cage the Elephant, Washed Out, Bobby Womack, and Thao & The Get Down Stay Down.

The lineup also includes Kaskade, Zedd, Umphrey’s McGee, Ice Cube, Cake, Omar Souleyman, Bouncing Souls, Slightly Stoopid, Fitz and the Tantrums, Ben Howard, Grouplove, Die Antwoord, ASAP Ferg, Jake Bugg, Yonder Mountain String Band, John Butler Trio, City and Colour, The Naked and Famous, The Glitch Mob, Seasick Steve, Lucero, MS MR, A Tribe Called Read, Jonathan Wilson, King Khan and the Shrines, Caveman, Break Science, The Lone Bellow, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Classixx, Allah-Las, Vance Joy, Haerts, J. Roddy Waltson & The Business, Those Darlins, and Greensky Bluegrass.

General admission and VIP passes go on sale Saturday, February 22nd at 12pm ET.
