on February 14, 2014, 1:50pm

Some bands announce the release of their new album via press release, others do so with a teaser video. Chromeo uses Craigslist.

Today, the electrofunk duo revealed the May 12th release date and album cover for their upcoming LP, White Women, via a missed connections ad posted in Minneapolis section of the site.

The posting read:

I asked your boss for your number
I never wondered which way it would go
You woke me up from my slumber
Now let me break your work flow
It’s not a lot, but all I wanna do
Is skip town on a weekend with you
There’s still so much to discover
There’s still a lot we don’t know

The followup to 2010′s Business CasualChromeo has promised White Women to be “Better, Funkier, Poppier, Catchier, Happier.” It features contributions from Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig, Solange Knowles, Toro Y Moi, and LCD Soundsystem’s Pat Mahoney.
