Since their formation in 2006, English duo Slow Club have incorporated various genres into their charming brand of indie-pop. First there was the twee-folk of their 2009 debut, Yeah So. Then came the grander arrangements of 2011’s Paradise. Now, on their new single “Tears Of Joy”, members Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor explore more R&B-inspired landscapes.
Taken from their still-in-progress third album, the song is silky smooth, layered with a slow-burning bass line, funky electric guitar, and Slow Club’s trademark vocal interplay. Listen in below.
