on February 06, 2014, 9:21am

February 9th marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. To help commemorate the occasion, the current occupant of the Ed Sullivan Theater, David Letterman, is hosting a week full of Beatles-inspired performances.

Monday brought us “And I Love Her”, as performed by Broken Bells and Ringo Starr, and Tuesday featured Sting taking on “Drive My Car”. Last night, Lenny Kravitz was on hand to cover “Get Back”, off their 1970 LP Let it Be. Kravitz was accompanied by David Bowie bassist Gail Ann Dorsey and Paul Shaffer on piano. Watch the replay below.

Letterman’s Beatles week continues tomorrow with The Flaming Lips and Sean Lennon. Lauryn Hill will appear on Friday, marking her first TV appearance in three years.
