Jack White’s Third Man Records will be in full force at South by Southwest, staging three separate showcases during the festival week, in addition to pop-up record store and the label’s famed Rolling Record Store.
Each showcase will take place at the Museum of Human Achievement with performances beginning at 2pm. Thursday, March 13th will feature Steve Gunn, The Haden Triplets, and Promised Land Sound. Ex-Cult, Obnox, and Ultras S/C will perform on Friday the 14th, alongside Useless Eaters/Pow!, Black Mekon, Des Unit, and Promotmartyr. Saturday will be headlined by PUJOL, Kelley Stoltz, and Natural Child, along with Dough Rollers, The Young, and Blind Shake. All of the performances will also be streamed live online via WTMR radio.
The showcases will feature food trucks, tequila, DJ sets, poetry, film, art, and other activities. Plus, Third Man’s pop-up shop will be selling exclusive and limited pressings of the label’s recent releases.
Third Man’s Rolling Record Store will also be at SXSW, selling exclusive vinyl and merch at as-yet-announced locations around Austin.
