Watch: Wakey!Wakey!’s in-studio session and video interview

on March 21, 2014, 10:00am

Consequence of Sound, in conjunction with McDonald’s, is excited to share the latest installment of its Festival Fever video series featuring New York-based adult alternative group Wakey!Wakey!.

Watch as the band performs two tracks from their recently released Irresistible EP. “Call Me Up” is a slightly funky, decidedly uplifting ballad, while “Phoebe Cates” (look her up) sounds like a peppy dance-pop version of some Billy Joel or Elton John B-side.

For the Q&A portion, frontman Michael Grubbs talks about the challenges of playing festivals, the inspiration for the Irresistible EP, how he writes song, and more. Sadly, there’s nothing about his run on One Tree Hill.
