On Sunday, Chance the Rapper was forced to cancel his performance at Coachella after falling ill. Now, his manager has revealed that the 21-year-old rapper is suffering from a combination of the flu and tonsillitis, which may require surgery.
According to his manager Patrick Corcoran, Chance awoke Sunday with a 104-degree fever and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was put on an IV. He was unable to speak due to inflammation in his throat.
Chance has since returned to his home in Los Angeles, where he continues to recover. He’s set to see a specialist this week to determine whether he needs surgery.
As a result, Chance has cancelled all upcoming tour dates scheduled for this week.
