Jack White has announced the release of highly-anticipated sophomore solo album. Entitled Lazaretto, the album will arrive on June 10th through Third Man Records. It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s Blunderbuss.
In anticipation, White has shared the album track “High Ball Stepper”, a ferocious instrumental rocker. Watch the corresponding video below.
The album’s title track serves as the album’s official lead single and will be released later this month.
A limited-edition version of the album will be released to members of Third Man Record’s Vault. The bundle also includes a lustrous blue vinyl 7-inch with two early demos of songs that appear on Lazaretto, a 40-page hard bound Lazaretto book, and a letter-pressed linen postcard.
A new solo album is just one of several projects expected from White in 2014. He also collaborated with Neil Young on his own new solo album, and will release a series of singles with The Dead Weather. He also has a number of festival appearances lined up, including Bonnaroo, Forecastle, and Free Press Summer Fest. Really, the only project off the table is The Raconteurs.
