Read Kurt Cobain’s not-so-nice letter about Courtney Love, found in his wallet after his death

on April 29, 2014, 5:34pm

Last month, Seattle police made quite the stir by re-examining the circumstances behind Kurt Cobain’s death. The cold case officer found nothing to suggest Cobain’s death was anything but a suicide, but decided to develop and release 35 unseen photographs anyways, with the hope it would end all conspiracy theories. Ironically enough, that decision led a Kurt Cobain conspiracy theorist to file a lawsuit against the department for failing to disclose that evidence to the general public during the initial investigation. Whether spurred on by the lawsuit or the desire to totally ruin Courtney Love’s day, the Seattle PD has revealed more previously unseen evidence (via Stereogum). It comes in the form of a not-so-flattering letter that Cobain wrote about Love, found in his wallet following his death.

“Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawfully shredded wife even when she’s a bitch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring…,” the letter reads. Obviously, it’s unknown when the letter was written and whether it was done so sarcastically or angrily. Though, I’m sure my boy @KurtCobainCaseFacts is investigating as we speak.
