on April 10, 2014, 12:12pm

CBS has found its replacement for David Letterman, and his name is Stephen Colbert. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Colbert will take over as host of the Late Show when Letterman retires in 2015. Colbert has reportedly signed a five-year deal with CBS.

Since 2005, Colbert has hosted The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, playing the character of a conservative talk show host who he himself described as a “well-intentioned, poorly informed, high-status idiot”. It remains to be seen whether Colbert plans to drop the bit once he takes over reigns at Late Show.

One thing is for sure: Colbert has an exceptional taste in music, having previously welcomed guests such as Radiohead, Jack White, and St. Vincent to his program. Below, watch video of Radiohead’s appearance in 2011.
