Chomping at the bit for some new music from Aphex Twin? Well, all you need is $13,500. As FACT points out, an apparent test pressing of the producer’s unreleased album Caustic Window is now available at Discog for the low, low price of 13 Grover Clevelands and five Ben Franklins.
The album was recorded back in 1994, but its release was ultimately scrapped and only a few test copies are known to exist. The seller sold FACT that he got the LP from the label Rephlex and can “demonstrate [the record’s] authenticity.” There’s nothing in the way of an audio preview, but you can see photos of the run-out groove.
The same seller also posted a copy of Aphex Twin’s unreleased 1995 EP Analogue Bubblebath Vol. 5, but that listing has since been removed.
