Watch: Yusuf Islam, a.k.a. Cat Stevens, performs on Fallon

In anticipation of his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday, Yusef Islam, better known as Cat Stevens, appeared on last night’s episode ofThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The folk legend teamed with The Roots for a trio of performances, specifically 1967’s “The First Cut Is The Deepest”, 1970’s “Wild World”, and 1971’s “The Wind”. Watch the replay below.

Islam’s appearance continues a star-studded week of musical guests for The Tonight Show. On Monday night, Nas teamed with Q-Tip and The Roots to perform Illmatic classics “One Love” and “The World Is Yours” (watch the replay here). Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic of Nirvana will appear on Wednesday’s episode alongside musical guest Stevie Nicks, and Kiss will perform on Friday.
