According to their press bio, “Jungle are based around a core musical duo of lifelong friends known simply as ‘J’ and ‘T’”. Though few know their true identities, the mysterious U.K. dance pop outfit broke out last year with a pair of impressively choreographed and memorable music videos in “Platoon” and “The Heat”, which earned them a spot on the BBC Sound of 2014 longlist. T, The duo recently shared another strong single, “Busy Earnin”, along with the details of their forthcoming self-titled debut album, which hits stores on July 15th via XL Recordings. Now, they’ve unveiled one more taste of the forthcoming LP with “Time”.
Though Jungle’s earlier offerings have been buoyed by their incredible music videos, “Time” shows that the band doesn’t need masterful visuals to show off their highly-danceable pop songs. Featuring buoyant synths and airtight hooks, ‘J’ and ‘T’ display a confidence as newcomers that most bands don’t reach until albums three or four. Listen in below.
