Listen: Merchandise’s gorgeous new song “No You and Me”

on May 06, 2014, 6:00pm

Back in March, Florida post-punks Merchandise shared “Figured Out”, a sunny number that swapped the fuzzy rock of their 2013 LP Total Nite in favor of more melodic musings. Now, the five-piece expertly meld both worlds together for a cohesive and gorgeous track called “No You and Me”.

Clocking in at a generous six minutes, the song takes its time teasing out airy, longwinded daydreams before finally bursting into a grandiose, guitar-driven jam. It’s a track that reveals more beauty with each and every listen, and one that deserves your patient and undivided attention. Check it out below (via Noisey).

Both “Figured Out” and “Now You and Me” are off USA ’13, Merchandise’s Record Store Day split LP with Milk Music and Destruction Unit, out now via 540 Records.

USA ’13 Tracklist:
01. Merchandise – “No You and Me”

05. Milk Music – “Effigy” (Creedence Clearwater Revival cover)
