Morrissey kicks off U.S. tour with 20-song set, plays three new songs, then gets run off stage

on May 08, 2014, 8:39am

It may be hard to believe, but Morrissey actually performed a concert last night. Following a series of tour postponements throughout much of 2013, Moz finally kicked off a new leg of North American tour dates at San Jose, CA’s National Civic Auditorium.

He played a 20-song set, which included three songs from his upcoming album: the title track “World Peace Is None of Your Business”, “Earth Is the Loneliest Planet”, and “The Bullfighter Dies”. He also performed The Smiths’ “Hand in Glove”, “Meat is Murder”, and “Asleep”. Check out the full setlist, along with video of all three new songs, below.

As Slicing Up Eyeballs points out, the show ended rather abruptly after Morrissey fans rushed the stage during his encore performance of “One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell”. Also find video of that moment below.
