SNL features magical Coldplay performance, makes fun of Beyoncé, Drake, and Skrillex

on May 04, 2014, 1:04am

Saturday Night Live returned with an all-new episode last night, and it featured a few notable music-related moments. First and foremost, Coldplay appeared in support of their forthcoming album, Ghost Stories, marking their fifth time serving as the show’s musical guests. They delivered elegant renditions of lead single “Magic” and “Sky Full of Stars”. Catch the replay below.

On the comedy side, SNL spoofed several musicians over the course of two very funny skits. Host Andrew Garfield (Spider-Man) learned firsthand what happens when you speak ill of Beyoncé, while Justin Timberlake, Drake, Adele, Bruno Mars, and the spooky ghost himself, Skrillex, all “appeared” on a game of Family Feud. Coldplay’s Chris Martin also took part in a sketch, assisting Garfield (as Spider-Man) in the proper technique of kissing.

If you happened to spend the evening cruising around the suburbs, eating at both Fuddruckers and TGI Friday’s and missed it — oh wait, that was just my night — then catch the replay below.
