on May 15, 2014, 9:16am

The Flaming Lips have set a release date for their covers album of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Entitled With a Little Help From My Fwends, it will arrive October 28th through Warner Brothers Records.

According to a press release, the album contains covers of each track from The Beatles’ 1967 classic as performed “in their own inimitable style.” Guest collaborators include Miley Cyrus, Moby, Lips side-project Electric Würms, and others.

The album will be available for pre-order beginning May 18th and includes an instant download of “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds”, which features both Cyrus and Moby.

Last night, The Lips and Cyrus previewed their collaboration live during Cyrus’ concert in Manchester, UK. Watch fan-shot footage below (via The Future Heart).

A portion of the proceeds from sales of With A Little Help From My Fwends will be donated to The Bella Foundation, a non-profit organization based in the band’s hometown of Oklahoma City that assists low-income, elderly or terminally ill pet owners with the cost of veterinary care.
