Allah-Las announce new album, Worship The Sun, stream “501-415”

on June 11, 2014, 4:30pm

California’s Allah-Las seem to make music through a vintage lens, combining elements of ’60s surf, psychedelic, and garage rock into a more updated and accessible package. After impressing with 2012’s self-titled debut, they’re returning this fall with its follow-up. Entitled Worship the Sun, it’s due out September 16th via Innovative Leisure.

As our first taste of the 12-track album, Allah-Las have unveiled the lead single, “501-415”. It’s a breezy little track, with surf-inflected guitars and a charming and crackling hiss permeating throughout. Warm and sand-stained, it’d make the perfect score for either an endless summer drive or a long day at the beach.
