Over his multi-decade career, Billy Idol has been known to take time between records. Case in point, it took nearly 12 years for him to follow up 1993’s Cyberpunk with Devil’s Playground. Now, nine years later, he’s back with his eighth full-length effort to date.
Produced by Trevor Horn, the as-yet-untitled LP will hit stores in October via his own BFI Records. The forthcoming album’s first single is due to arrive sometime “later this summer.”
Along with the new music, Idol will release his memoir, Dancing With Myself, October 7th. Just my personal guess, but in the book he’ll probably discuss “White Wedding”, which you can stream and revisit below.
