Chance the Rapper crashes Childish Gambino’s set at Governors Ball, Gambino hints at collaborative EP

on June 09, 2014, 4:00pm

Chance the Rapper surprised even Childish Gambino when he crashed the latter’s set at Governors Ball on Saturday night. Apparently Gambino’s phone was off and he never saw Chance’s texts, so he never prepped his band for a performance of their Acid Rap collaboration “Favorite Song”. Ever the professionals, the band was able to improvise on the spot and the show went on with its surprise guest in tow.

Even more surprising, though, was when Chance dropped a new verse during their joint Because the Internet track “The Worst Guys”. As seen in the video below, the lost verse opens with the social media-friendly bars, “I love you like your love your photo likes when you post your life/Some of these hoes just want to Instagram me/you already tryin’ to win, you’re an insta-Grammy.” Watch video of both performances below; click ahead to 1:45 to hear Chance’s new verse on “The Worst Guys”.

According to a tweet Gambino sent out not long after the performance, the new verse could appear on a collaborative EP the pair have been working on:
