Foo Fighters returned to the stage last night to headline the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware. The gig marked the band’s only scheduled performance this summer and came as they gear up for the release of their new studio album.
That said, the band’s 21-song setlist was comprised solely of greatest hits and fan favorites, such as “Times Like These”, “The Pretender”, “White Limo”, and “Money Wrench”. For the encore, Dave Grohl and Co. performed several covers, including Alice Cooper’s “School’s Out”, Van Halen’s “Ain’t Talkin’ bout Love”, and Queen’s “Under Pressure”, before wrapping things up with “Everlong”.
Update: As Alternative Nation reports,Chris Shiflett performed the entire set sitting down due to a broken ankle. Also, during the encore, Dave Grohl referred to the band as “The Holy Shits”.
