on June 02, 2014, 4:00pm

Prog-rock legends King Crimson have revealed the first U.S. tour dates as part of their upcoming reunion tour, as BrooklynVegan points out. Thus far, the band has set five shows for September: two in Albany, NY and three in NYC. See the specifics below.

Update: The full schedule has been revealed. Click here.

The dates mark King Crimson’s return to the stage following a five-year hiatus. For this go-around, the touring lineup includes founding guitarist Robert Fripp; drummers Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin, and Pat Mastelotto; bassist Tony Levin, saxophonist Mel Collins; and rhythm guitarist Jakko Jakszyk. Each musician has been a member or collaborator at some point in King Crimson’s 45-plus-year run, most notably Mastelotto, who joined in 1994 and appears on some 20 albums, and Collins, who replaced Ian McDonald on 1970′s Lizard and 1971′s Islands.
