Listen: Bleached’s punchy new song “For The Feel”

on June 17, 2014, 11:35am

Sisters Jessie and Jennifer Clavin form Bleached, a breezy jangle pop hailing from Los Angeles. After debuting last year with the promising album Ride Your Heart, the duo returns with a new EP For The Feel, out digitally on July 24th and as a 7-inch single on September 16th via Dead Oceans.

As our first taste, they’ve shared the title track, a short but charming song full of sun-kissed surf pop melodies and nostalgically warm guitars. Describing the song in a statement, the sisters revealed it was inspired the Kinks:

“For The Feel” is a song we originally wrote for our full length but it didn’t sound right once recorded so we held off on putting it on the record. Finally when it came down to recording it again we were really inspired by the sound of The Kinks, we even used The Kinks amp. I’m really glad we waited to release this song because now it’s perfect.
