Listen: Rubblebucket’s new song “Sound Of Erasing”

on June 03, 2014, 5:00pm

Rubblebucket hail from Brooklyn and create infectious and eccentric indie-pop. While that description might not seem entirely interesting, given that dance-pop bands from Brooklyn are easier to find than a Starbucks, there’s no denying the quintet’s “Sound Of Erasing”

Serving as the lead single off their upcoming third album, Survival Sounds, the track features Dirty Projectors-esque syncopated vocals and a vibrant horn section, effortlessly united under the banner of punchy and refined pop songwriting. Listen in below.

Produced by John Congleton (Angel Olsen, Cloud Nothings, Andrew Jackson Jihad), Survival Sounds is the band’s first for their new label Communion Records. It’s due out on August 26th.

Rubblebucket will be on tour this summer, including stops at Glastonbury and Riot Fest Toronto. Consult their full docket below.
