Listen: ShowYouSuck’s new song “Gucci Mane”

on June 02, 2014, 3:30pm

Later this month, Chicago rapper ShowYouSuck will release his new EP, Bummer, the follow-up to last November’s excellent Dude Bro EP. In anticipation, he’s unveiled the EP’s first track, “Gucci Mane”.

Produced by fellow Chicagoan Walkingshoe, the track actually borrows part of the chorus from the real Gucci Mane’s “My Kitchen”. Aside from that catchy connection, the rest of the song shines a little light into ShowYouSuck’s inner most workings, as he offers revelations about some of his favorite things (pizza, the color purple) and what it’s really like being an up-and-coming emcee in the Second City.

Beginning next Monday and running through that Friday, ShowYouSuck will release five separate music videos for “Gucci Mane”.
