Listen: Study Hall’s new song “In My Box”

on June 16, 2014, 1:30pm

On July 1st, Nashville’s Infinity Cat Recordings will release Hits From The Streets, Volume II. The four-track compilation features songs from local punk outfits Study Hall, Gnarwhal, Jawws, and King Bitch, a super-group comprised of Diarrhea Planet and OGG. The limited-edition 7-inch will be pressed on deep purple vinyl.

For their contribution, Study Hall has offered up “In My Box”. Blending Nashville twang with Brooklyn punk attitude, the band joyfully embraces the haphazard quality of their chunky guitar riffs and clipping vocals. Everything culminates in the chorus with the catchy, slacker mantra, “In my box I get lost all the time/ In my box I get lost but who cares?”
