It’s clear from note one that Segall’s presence has helped reel in Presley’s oddball aesthetic while amping up his pop sensibilities. The result is a sugar-coated blast of ’60s garage pop, complete with driving guitars, four on the floor drumming, and lush harmonic interplay. Thankfully, Presley maintains his wild side with a truly scintillating guitar solo.
