on June 24, 2014, 4:43pm

Today, Paul McCartney makes his first public appearance since being hospitalized with a nasty virus that temporarily derailed his world tour. Appearing in a short video announcement, McCartney offers visual proof that he is, in fact, still alive and still awesome. (He even plays air guitar!) He also offers an update on his upcoming tour dates, including the addition of his first-ever in Greensboro, NC, scheduled for October 30th.
