Janelle Monáe continued her reign as Queen of the Live Show on Letterman last night. She performed her cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes”, offering the same off-the-charts and uber energetic performance she’s brought to SNL, The Today Show, and Maya Rudolph in recent weeks. In fact, one Paul Shaffer was vibing so hard, Dave actually questioned whether he’d ditch the show and join Monáe’s band. Now that I’d pay to see.
Watch the recap below:
The Electric Lady will next bring her show-stopping live show to the What Stage at Bonnaroo, where she’s also slated to appear during Skrillex’s SuperJam. Monáe will also be part of Dave Chappelle’s return to New York City when she joins him on June 25th at Radio City Music Hall with Busta Rhymes and DJ Premier.
