Listen: Hooray For Earth’s new song “Racy”

on July 18, 2014, 4:55pm

Racy, the sophomore album from New York synth-rockers Hooray For Earth, is due to hit shelves on July 29th via Dovecote Records. The nine-track effort follows 2011’s True Loves and was co-produced by Chris Coady (Grizzly Bear, Yeah Yeah Yeahs). As its bold title might suggest, Racy features the band’s most aggressive and straight-forward style of songwriting to date.

“This album is the most intentional thing I’ve ever put together”, frontman Noel Heroux explained in a press release. “I wanted everything loud and direct so you don’t have to guess at what you’re getting into.”

Already we’ve heard the searing and thunderous “Keys”. Now, the four-piece take things down a couple of notches with the album’s sobering, lovesick title track.

Tune in below:

Racy Tracklist:
01. Hey
02. Keys
03. Say Enough
04. Somewhere Else
05. Racy
06. Last, First
07. Airs

09. Pass
