Las Vegas alt-rock band Panic! at the Disco recently became the latest target of Westboro Baptist Church, who announced plans to protest the band’s Sunday night concert in Missouri. The hate group also wrote a “parody” of the Panic song “I Write Sins Not Tragedies”, dubbed “You Love Sin What a Tragedy”, in which they mock frontman Brendon Urie (who previously described himself as bisexual).
In response, Panic followed the lead of previous Westboro targets like Foo Fighters and Lorde and found a way to flip the protest on its head. As MTV reports, for every member of Westboro who showed up to protest their concert, the band is donating $20 to the Human Rights Campaign.
