Featuring members of now defunct ’90s act Superdrag (you may remember their single “Sucked Out”), Tennessee trio The Lees Of Memory opt for warm shoegaze over punchy alt-rock. On September 16th, the band is releasing its debut album, Sisyphus Says, via SideOneDummy Record. The album’s lead single, “We Are Siamese”, has been floating around the Internet for a while now, and today the corresponding music video was revealed.
Directed by Elvis Wilson, his visual take on “We Are Siamese” is fairly simple, combining straightforward performance footage with some distorted and trippy effects. Thus, the focus remains the lovely and powerful My Bloody Valentine-like soundscapes. The video also features an appearance by Sisyphus Says producer Nick Raskulinecz, who jumps in on bass.
