Later this year, Jessie Ware is expected to release Tough Love, her sophomore album and follow-up to 2012’s excellent Devotion. Already we’ve heard its gorgeous BenZel-produced title track and “Share It All”, which was co-written by The xx’s Romy Madley Croft. Now, thanks to vigilant Ware fans, we have a glimpse at another promising LP cut called “Champagne Kisses”.
The London songstress debuted the ballad — reportedly written in New York at the same time as “Tough Love” — during a show in Poland over the weekend. While its production is more of the slow-burning synthpop variety, Ware’s vocals are anything but tame. As you’ll see in the fan-footage below, she flaunts her falsetto with both poise and power. Check out her performance of “Champagne Kisses” below.
And, catch Ware live on her upcoming world tour.
