Watch: Weezer debut new single “Back to the Shack” on Jimmy Fallon

It was almost 13 years ago exactly that Weezer first appeared on The Tonight Show, during which they performed “Island in the Sun” for a youthful Jay Leno. Last night, Rivers Cuomo and co. made their return to the late-night show, this time to debut their new single “Back to the Shack” for Jimmy Fallon. Watch the replay below.

Due out September 30th, Weezer’s new album, Everything Will Be Alright in the End, marks a reunion with The Cars’ Ric Ocasek, who previously helmed both The Blue Album and The Green Album. According to Cuomo, the sound harkens back to the band’s glory days, telling EW.com, “If you took the Pinkerton band and then play all the other records—that’s what we sound like now. Bombastic, loose, kind of booming. This record sounds like it’s going to have the tight structure of Blue Album with a little bit more abandon like Pinkerton.
