In two weeks time, Belle & Sebastian will set out on the road for a new leg of American tour dates. Coinciding with the jaunt, Matador Records has announced plans to reissue all 10 of the band’s studio albums. The title of the archival campaign? It Could Have Been A Brilliant Career, which couldn’t be more Belle & Sebastian-esque if they tried.
Available beginning October 7th, each album is repackaged in resealable mylar bags, each with a customized obi strip and download card. In addition, Dear Catastrophe Waitress will feature new, alternate album artwork, which you can see below.
The reissues mark the first time three of the band’s albums — Push Barman To Open Old Wounds, The Life Pursuit, and Dear Catastrophe Waitress — are back in print on vinyl in several years.
Pre-orders are ongoing through Matador’s website.
