Glenn Danzig has long held the nickname Evil Elvis, and now it seems he’s buying in completely. In a post on his Facebook page, the former Misfits frontman revealed that he’s hard at work on an Elvis Presley covers EP.
Danzig revealed the news on the 37th anniversary of Elvis’ death. There’s no word on when the EP might see release, but given that we’re still waiting to hear Danzig’s long-in-the-works covers album (featuring songs by the likes of Black Sabbath and a version of Lee Hazelwood and Nancy Sinatra’s “Some Velvet Morning” with the Runaways’ Cherie Currie), I wouldn’t hold my breath.
Below, watch Danzig perform Elvis’ “Trouble” live at a concert from way back in 1993.
