Following Kings of Leon’s concert in Mansfield, MA on August 9th, the band’s tour bus was involved in an accident during which drummer Nathan Followill sustained broken ribs. Due to Followill’s injury, the band was forced to postpone their August 10th show in Saratoga Springs, NY. Now, as Billboard reports, several more dates have been put on hold after Followill’s doctor ordered him to take a two-week break from the road.

Dr. Faiz Bhora, chief of thoracic surgery at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital, said in a statement: “The process is now to rest in order for healing to take place. To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to August 28th is necessary.”

Kings of Leon have yet to announce make-up dates for the postponed shows.

The band does still plan to appear on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night. As Billboard reports, The Roots’ Questlove will fill in for Followill behind the kit.
