Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos is an advocate for mental health awareness and recently was honored with an award for his openness in discussing his own struggles with bipolar disorder and depression. Today, Angelakos took to Twitter to respond to Henry Rollins’ controversial column on suicide, which criticized actor Robin Williams for taking his own life. (Rollins has since apologized for his comments.)
Angelakos made one tweet directed toward Rollins, writing, “Yes, @henryrollins, you made it all so clear for the rest of us. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, especially while the family is grieving.” His other tweets offered advice to individuals struggling with thoughts of suicide and depression. You can read them below.
