Eminem sets world record for most words in one song

on September 07, 2014, 1:31am

Eminem has a number of huge accomplishments to his name: he’s earned 13 Grammy Awards and sold over 45 million albums in just the US, making him the best-selling artist of his era. He’s also the most popular male artist on Facebook, which these days holds about as much importance as 13 Grammy Awards (just ask Kanye West). However, Marshall Mathers’ latest feat might be his biggest one yet, as he can now call himself a member of the Guinness Book of World Records, right alongside the world’s oldest woman Jeanne Louise Calmen and fingernail goddess Chris “The Duchess” Walton.

As Billboard reports, Eminem has set the Guinness World Record for Most Words in a Hit Single, with his recent song “Rap God” totaling 1,560 words in six minutes and four seconds. For those bad at math, that breaks down to a mind-numbing 4.28 words a second. In one particular stretch of the song, he raps 97 words in just 15 seconds.

Below, watch the video for the record-breaking song, along with the full lyrics (via Rap Genius).
