on September 04, 2014, 7:03pm

Later this month, a host of all-star musicians will celebrate the legacy of George Harrison with a one-night tribute concert.

“George Fest: A Night to Celebrate the Music of George Harrison” takes place September 28th at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre. The evening will feature performances from The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd, Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Brian Wilson, “Weird” Al Yankovic, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers and Mark Stoermer, Norah Jones, and members of The Strokes and Weezer.

Also set to appear are Cold War Kids, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Harrison’s son Dhani, and Heart’s Ann Wilson, plus members of The Cult, Guster, Velvet Revolver, and more. The concert’s promoters promise several more special guests to be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.

100% of profits from “George Fest” will benefit Sweet Relief, a charity that offers financial assistance to struggling musicians. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 5th. For more info and ticket prices, head here.

News of the concert comes just days after the Harrison estate announced the reissue of the singer’s first six solo albums. Featuring several unreleased demos and alternate takes, the George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-1975 box set is due out September 23rd via Universal Music Group.
