Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant conquers Jimmy Fallon with two song performance — watch

on September 27, 2014, 8:13pm

Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant visited 30 Rockefeller Plaza on Friday for an appearance onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

In support of his latest solo album, lullaby and… The Ceaseless Roar, Plant and his band The Sensational Space Shifters delivered performances of “Rainbow” and “Turn It Up” as a web exclusive.

Fallon also made ample use of “one of the greatest singers of all time” by having him play a game with the iPad app Loopy. Together, Fallon and Plant formed a two-man doo-wop group, with Plant providing lithe back-up vocals to Fallon’s more bass-heavy lead on “Duke of Earl”. The whole bit may have been reminiscent of teaching your grandpa about the universal remote, but the two ended up making surprisingly chipper music in the end.
