Mike Patton resurrects Fantômas for first concert in six years

on September 16, 2014, 1:05pm

Mike Patton recently announced plans for a new album from Faith No More, but that isn’t the only one of his projects he’ll be dusting off in the coming months. Fantômas — Patton’s star-studded supergroup with Melvins’ Buzz Osborne, Mr. Bungle’s Trevor Dunn, and ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, has confirmed its first live performance in six years at the RockOut Festival in Santiago, Chile.

Fantômas last performed together in 2009 and hasn’t released an album since 2005’s Suspended Animation. Patton announced plans for a new album in 2006, but nothing has materialized since then.

Se to take place on December 6th, RockOut also promises performances from DEVO, Primus, Thurston Moore Band, Hielo Negro, and more. Tickets and further details are available through the festival’s website.

Below, watch video of Fantômas’s 2009 performance at Sydney, Australia’s Big Day Out Festival.
