Tweedy, the duo comprised of Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy and his 18-year-old son Spencer, released their debut album, Sukierae, earlier this month. Now, they’ve let loose a hilarious music video for the LP highlight “Low Key”, and it boasts one heck of a star-studded cast.
Directed by Parks and Recreation’s own Nick Offerman, the clip pokes fun at the music industry and follows Tweedy as they go around Chicago, door-to-door, trying to schlep their music. The terribly cheap marketing idea was spearheaded by their major label executive (comedian John Hodgman) and his assistant (actor Michael Shannon).
Among the folks Tweedy encounter while on their little DIY mission? A who’s who of TV and music’s best: Conan O’Brien, Andy Richter, Chance The Rapper, Mavis Staples, Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche, producer Steve Albini, and Jeff’s other son Sam Tweedy, among others.
